Dorret Boomsma receives KNAW-Merian Academy award

Thursday November 17, 2011, Dorret Boomsma received the KNAW Merian Award, the highest Dutch award for women in science

Boomsma, of the Netherlands Twin Register and professor of biological psychology at the VU, examines the influence of genes and environment on our behavior and health. Twins form an ideal group for this kind of research.

The award, made possible by SNS REAAL Fonds, consists of 50.000 euro en a piece of jewelry designed by Aimee Rhemrev.
