Since 2002 we organize a two year Research Master of Neuroscience Program. In this program, which selects students coming from various bachelor backgrounds from the international community, we train our future PhD-students. Moreover in 2005 we founded a one year Exchange Honours Program for excellent students coming from our campus and those being selected in the Erasmus MC program. More recently, in 2008, also the Netherlands Institute for Neurosciences joined in supervision of this exchange master program.  The VU holds the chair of the Graduate School Neuroscience Amsterdam Rotterdam (ONWAR) and in doing so is taking the lead in organizing PhD-student training in the field of Neurosciences in Amsterdam (VU/VUmc, NIN and UVA/AMC) and Rotterdam (Erasmus MC).
