Program Committees

Area 1: Advanced Technology Programs
Through new collaborations on our campus we aim at delivering proof-of-concept for radically new approaches in the field of detecting brain function and the early diagnosis of brain disease. The research programs in this area include:
- Brain Imaging and Analysis
- Photonics and Life Cell Imaging
- Drugs Screening and Stem Cell Therapy
- Integrative Analysis and Modeling
Area 2: Brain Disease Mechanisms
We study brain disease mechanisms, including those involved in neuropsychiatric disorders, dementia and white matter diseases, through an integrative approach running from molecule-to-bedside. Our (pre)clinical research activities are centred around three forms of brain diseases:
Area 3: Genes & the Brain
All activities executed in collaborating laboratories are essentially characterized by their perspective on 'molecules', 'genes', 'synapses', 'connectivity' and 'brain function'. Our basic research activities extend throughout the entire campus, including the biomedical, biological psychology, physics and biostatistics groups. We have chosen three main themes
